Samantha Tengelitsch is a life-long Traverse Area resident. She has published essays on numerous topics ranging from motherhood to agricultural practices in Northern Michigan. Her interest in the Old Mission project came after the discovery of two diaries left behind by her husband’s great-grandmother who was born at Old Mission. These diaries shed much light into the life of the pioneer men and women whose work and determination helped shape a now-thriving peninsula community.
Samantha resides in Traverse City with her husband, Erick, and three daughters.
